Positively Froggy

Posted by Picasa
Coastal Plain cricket frogs, Acris gryllus gryllus
0.5 to 1.5 inches (16 to 32 mm)

The yard and surrounds were littered with cricket frogs yesterday when Treebeard and I went for a short walk. One had to watch one's step lest one squish a frog.
Isn't that wonderful?

Thanks for the froggy photos. Up here near the Adirondacks, the Spring Peepers are trilling and tadpoles dart about in the ponds, Newts have made their way to water and float basking in the sun. Ain't Spring grand!!

karen,
Glad you like the frogs. Now, where have you been?

Woodswalker,
I would love to see those newts -- that's one thing we don't see around here.
