Sky Scraper

Some sort of really tall grass we found during our walk this afternoon. No clue whatsoever as to genus or species - I don't do Poaceae.

Great picture - you may not do Poaceae, but you certainly have an eye for them.

Thanks, Wren. Grass heads are compelling subjects.

hey swampthingy,
can you help me identify a few weeds i got in the yard? I've been having a rough time of it trying to find these last few. i have them up on my blog here. I had a serious photosensitive skin rash happen on my pig and the vet is sure its a weed. 4th and 5th from the bottom are what i think he's been eating. It looks like rosary pea but can't be, he'd be dead if it was it... thanks, jo

Well . . . I hates to complain - but I have no sense of scale, here - how tall was it?

cathy,
It was a little over 7 feet tall.
