Darker than dark leopard frogs, and now a gray treefrog that looks like a victim of acid rain! What do y'all do up in NC??

Copes' gray treefrog is my favorite frog - when you discover them on a branch and they realize it always makes me go "awwwwww" to see them cringe.

Not to mention they have sweet voices.

Wayne, this frog had us confused at first. My husband spotted it sitting on a leaf next to the boardwalk. We couldn't figure out what it was until we caught it and noted the white mark under the eye and the yellow coloration on the concealed surfaces of the hind legs. You just gotta love individual variation!

I LOVE that light green and the tininess. How sweet!
